In the end, considering the current state of the world/economy/interest rates/etc., we got the house we wanted at 5.75% on a 30 year fixed with a VA loan, so we are happy. Lissette and Kevin in particular came through when it mattered, even with the slight complications of the portal due to me getting a new phone and e-mail during the process. A genuine thanks to all.
