Twice we received emails containing other people's information. This made me very uncomfortable about the security of my own private information and the potential that someone else may have seen it. Estimate was a 45 day close but it was 73. We are certainly in unprecedented times but that's a big disparity. The initial loan estimate we received was very attractive but we got major sticker shock when we saw our disclosure a few days prior to closing - to the point we were ready to bail out.

From the outset, Keith overpromised and under delivered. Keith lacked foresight and failed to effectively communicate. The issues that arose were things that someone with Keith's experience should have never overlooked and by the time the issues surfaced, I was left with no other practical option but to continue to use him as my lender. When asked to explain the oversights, he was disingenuous and lacked accountability.

Our refinance was extremely slow, delayed without much communication, and I ended up with a different product than was presented on the disclosure. When I inquired later, the answer was “I don’t know.” I feel like we were mislead and I will not use Keith Spain again.

Alex did a good job of quickly responding to my questions and making sure she answered them, so if I could rate her separately I would give her good reviews... that being said the process was convoluted. It was a black box for weeks at a time, then "hurry up we need these docs in the next 24 hours" and then another black box. We had to push back closing by a week, not sure why, because the final $'s weren't available I think? I also think Keith should say "my team"- Keith never was part of this

For some people the mortgage process is unfamiliar and confusing. It may require more than just a river of emails with “time sensitive “ commands. I’m one of those people. I need the process explained to me so that I can be a better customer. I felt this process railroaded me at times and that pushed me to feel helpless, stupid and inept. Not every individual that applies to Bank South is standard issue college graduate material. A little understanding and personal care might have been helpful

I plan to file a formal complaint. The details will be in the complaint. I’ve spoken to Keith directly and left a message to discuss my concerns with his supervisor but didn’t get a call back

There was an error that resulted from a lack of communication. The dissatisfaction was not directly related to the error but rather how it was addressed and handled. It mad closing a very difficult and stressfull process and resulted in added expenses that could have been avoided if a clear and open line of communication was upheld.
