My stay at Kindred was amazing. I loved the sense of humor the staff had and they made you feel welcome, go out of their way to get a snack or lotion. If you were having a bad day they would encourage me. Sometimes I think they were happier than me when I hit a milestone lol. All in all you will receive great care my only complaint is the kitchen and putting gravy on everything. I am not an actor and I was not paid to do this review
My husband was here for about a month b4 Christmas in 2017. We had an amazing stay for the most part. Me and the female doctor bumped heads as she has no bedside manor and she basically made it impossible to discharge my hubby. Thankfully Leigh in case management voiced our concerns. Now he is getting ready to go back in and looking forward to working with the staff again.
I have been in and out of this facility several times in the past 10 months and with each stay the facility got better and better with meeting my needs both medical and personal...the administrative staff visits very often and listens to what my concerns are and addresses them.. the CEO makes it her mission to make sure all is going smoothly, i think she alone makes this place feel more like home and not just a hospital..the therapy has been excellent and progresses with me and the nursing and staff have been great and i can... read more
I was transferred to Kindred for antibiotic therapy for an infection and physical therapy and pain management. Overall my stay here was up to my expectations (I've been to other Kindred facilities). The nursing staff are friendly and kind. They are intuitive and do their job well. There was only one evening when I had to wait to long for my call light to be answered, besides that one night they were very prompt in answering and asking what I needed. My physical therapist (S... My experience at Kindred has been a challenge, but one of a good nature. It's been challenging but rewarding in every aspect of a comeback. I was knocking on death's door when I had the opportunity to experience one of Dr. Yaeger's innovations. I not only weaned off the ventilator, I also was decannulated. I am now making strides to walk again. I want to give the staff a big high five, not only did they become my family, they saw me at my worst. I shed tears of joy and ... See More sorrow as I tried to put on a good front. T... read more
Dr Yager and all of the staff was wonderful with 24 hour attendance as I was ventilated 5 1/2 months with 3% chance of living! I survived and my family was treAted with respect and dignity with every step! From treatment through insurance! God bless all of them that attended me in 2011. The high noon tea was a wonderful idea to be able to meet other survivors and discuss what our struggles still are after such a major ordeal. My friend had a lung removed, cancer 21 years ago and is still living ! He has been able to be at ho... read more
I would like to thank the staff at Kindred Hospital Aurora. Our son, Bryce was admitted December 1, 2016 on a ventilator with a severe TBI. The staff took very good care of him and he is currently no longer "vent dependent" and on his way to an Acute Rehabilitation Hospital. Our family is so grateful for the progress and we realize the potential for Bryce's recovery has improved from the care he has received. Again THANK YOU and GOD BLESS.
