Update during pandemic: When you get to King Street Pet Hospital, you park in a numbered stall, call the staff to let them know you arrived and what stall number you are in. Another staff will call you back on a private line to get your pet's stats, then come out geared in mask and gloves to take your pet into the clinic. Dr. Nakamura is the best! She always explains what she's doing and concerned about and gives positive feedback! I've taken all my pets to her! I love King Street Pet Hospital everyone is friendly and caring and skilled! They are also very careful with covid protocols in place, much more so than human hospitals!
Our cat Oreo has been receiving care from King St Pet Hospital from day 1 six years ago. We are pcs'ing from Hawaii to the mainland and when we called American Air prior to our flights to reconfirm the rules to fly with our pet. No one told us we needed the acclimation letter. I would like to give a very big thank you to, in order, the King street receptionist's, spoke to several on starting my Scruffy's adventure. His teeth and gums were very infected, with COVID standards, it was difficult to get him in right away. I called several hospitals and no one but King Street Pet Hospital could get him in right away. I had visited three different animal hospitals in Oahu and called many hospital for my rats. Dr. Gavin Ganzer has a kind heart to my rat, compared to other vets. He even talked to my rat "it will hurt a bit" before he poked my rat for examination on an infection. Dr. Gavin Ganzer never upsells unnecessary examinations or services and is excellent and patient in communicating the process that he is doing and explains the diagnosis. Can't say enough great things about this place that would be able to fit in this post (just to give an idea of how I feel). My baby Roxy made 1yrs old in Sept 2019 that's when I brought her to her 1st year appt after adopting her. I was lucky to be given Dr. Nicole Wong, thank you! The only bad thing I can say about this place is sometimes the parking lot gets full and on street parking is hard to come by. My dog has been seeing Dr Choy for a few years now and has had some pretty serious stuff pop up with her health. I absolutely trust her knowledge, experience and skills and always have had a wonderful experience with Dr Choy and ALL the staff encounters I have had here, even though my dog may not feel the same way (shakes in her car seat).
