Well they took us when our existing vet could not. It was not an emergency but we needed to get full check ups on both cats and certificates for flying ASAP So as far as that goes they were there when we needed them. My bird I got from a closet breeder on Whimbey island gave me a sick bird I called not knowing them and they treat birds. They were going to see me right away (before pandemic) however my bird died on the way over. They were very sad for me and compassionate.

COVID experience aside, it seems like they really don’t care and just want clients to spend more money. Please be sure you ask for permission to charge before doing so from now on.

Took our family dog to get cremated and some asshole gave the A-okay to toss her ashes. The incredible amount of carelessness displayed by their employees to allow this to happen is frightening. I wouldn't recommend anyone take their animals here. They can't keep track of dead animals, I can only imagine what they do with the ones that's are still alive. After taking my dog here for years, I actually thought they cared for her. Once she passed it was different. $219 to make sure her ashes came home (7 days) so we could celebrate her life when our family could all be together. We called when this date was past to ask "where is she??" I was told I had called to change this to a "communal" cremation. WHAT??? Who the hell said that??? My dog, my family member since I was five years old. We took her here to be cremated after she passed away. They got her mixed up with another dog. They threw her ashes in a landfill and we will never have her remains to visit her, reminisce, or even properly grieve. We were supposed to get her back in an urn. They've offered to refund our payment (woo-hoo?). So $200-something dollars is all we have to remember our cherished family member. I would strongly recommend never entrusting the well-being of your animals in this rec... read more

Ive been in the German Shepherd Dog world since 1989. I selected KVH because of their "Best Vet in Kitsap Co". I'll never go back to them. If you're serious in Dogdom, DON'T USE KITSAP VETERINARY They insisted my dog be microchipped. The issue I have is that the dog was already microchipped by his Veterinarian breeder. They insisted that "many chips fail." Well, I wasn't new to dogdom. I have my own M/C reader, I retrieved it and took the dog back to show them that their readers, (two of them) WERE FAULTY. I got two sales pitches to buy their insurance program before the vet even got to the examining room. I was going to be charged $400 for my cat's first appointment there. If I would buy the $1200 insurance program...I would have only had to pay $200 on that day...and be responsible for another $100 per month for another 11 months. That is $1400!
