Diagnosed me properly (after 2 opinions) and referred me to the right person. GREAT "bedside" manner! Easy to talk to, listened and gave possible solutions. 100% recommend.
My daughter has had 2 ACL repairs by Dr Aalderink. He has been exceptional in patient care and exceptional and very professional in all areas of her surgeries. We appreciate his expertise and his down to earth approach when we had questions. We did have to call him after hours about pain and he was available to help us out right a way. We think VERY highly of him!
After tearing my ACL in Colorado, I was searching for an Orthopedic Surgeon to examine my knee upon return. The office scheduler was able to get me in the day that I called. Dr. Aalderink was up front with me that yes it's going to take 6-9 months of Physical Therapy after repair surgery to get back to full function with my knee. You won't find a better knowledgeable doctor.
Dr. Aalderink has been an excellent doctor for my shoulder issues. I appreciated that he didn't start with surgery for my shoulder issue but instead tried other strategies. When I decided I needed the surgery, he did a very good job explaining the process both before and after the surgery. He also did a good job repairing an issue that didn't show up on the MRI. I found him kind and patient with me as well.
Dr. Aalderink performed hamstring avulsion surgery on me which is very uncommon. He more than exceeded my expectations in every area of importance when having a surgical procedure done. Very clear explanation of pro and cons of surgery, what to expect in recovery, made me feel confident in his abilities, etc. Not at all arrogant. If he performs the surgery you need I highly recommend scheduling a consultation with him. The surgery went smoothly and recovery is going better than expected!
Dr Aalderink has performed two surgeries on me, knee and a shoulder labrum tear, he will soon be doing my other shoulder. People mentioning him as "arrogant" is laughable, both surgeries have been complex and he more than exceeded my expectations. I think that in any scenario you must visit a few ortho's to find what works for you and I believe a failure to do so has resulted in many of these negative comments as there is a much stronger incentive for disgruntled patients to post negatively about their experience. Very nice doctor! He was knowledgeable and took the time to answer my questions.
The Staff that I worked with was excellent, she gave me all of the information I needed to ensure that my medical records were there prior to my appointment. The doctor listen to what I have been though and gave me his opinion on what he felt needed to be done to resolve my issue. I have not had my surgery yet so I will comment back after that.
Dr. Aalderink was very up front with me and didn't try to fix my knee problem when he knew he couldn't. He gave me refferals and called me himself in regards to my condition.
