It was a holiday, so a limited menu, which is to be expected. However, the fungi/truffle pasta lacked flavor. The pasta itself was tender and nicely cooked. The salmon risotto was good, but the portion was small for the value. We've eaten here multiple times, and were always happy with the food. The restaurant wasn't overly crowded, more like a typical weekend, so we were surprised at the lackluster food. The service was great. Friendly staff.
Party of 12 - great service - food came out for everyone at the same time - loved the calamari app and the rice balls for appetizers. The eggplant, carbonara and beef pasta dishes were liked by all. The pasta is all fresh and hold the sauces perfectly. Get the special pasta made in the cheese wheel - delicious. Tried the canoli and chocolate gelato for desert both good - Canoli was top notch. We will defiantly be back. A+
This place never disappoints. Love the beautiful decor, great service and amazing food. I always bring girlfriends here for birthday dinners, love to introduce it to new people.
We enjoyed our meal at La Pastaia. Our first visit with friends. No complaints at all about food and service. Very tasty dishes and abundant portions of pasta; every one loved their pasta. However, lower lighting in the dining room would make the room feel warm and attractive, way too bright in there for evening dining. Also, the restroom was quite disheveled and needs to be cleaned or fixed up a bit. It can be an old restroom and still be clean. Our family came here for Christmas Eve dinner and had the set price menu. We started with the fritto di calamari which was quite good and the grilled artichokes. The artichokes were yummy but did not like the accompanying sauce. Would recommend asking for no sauce. Ordered the filets and salmon which were quite good. Our server was good but very busy. Seems like they were under staffed for the evening. I plan to try again and would love to sit outside and order some of the pasta dishes.
The prixe fix was priced at $50 for the Christmas Eve dinner, the food offered seemed sub par yet priced higher than their normal menu. Some of the food tasted pre packaged and had similar flavors to Costco brands which did not feel special nor equivalent to the price. My son and I had a late lunch on Christmas Day. From the time we were seated, to the time we left, we felt we had enjoyed a fine dining experience. The food was exceptional. Our servers, Maya in particular, made us feel welcomed throughout our meal.
