A decent place to stay but nothing special other than the convenience of the location for purpose of my trip. The location was not easily recognizable as it’s in the middle of a residential block and the LaQuinta branding on the exterior awning is small and faded. The card key mechanism on my door was partially separated from the door and I found the door difficult to open, you have to pull UP on the door handle instead of pushing the handle down like most hotel doors. Good The breakfast area and lobby bathroom were kept at an unreasonable heat. I know because when you were in the breakfast area outside of breakfast time, it was a cool room. The elevator stopped working multiple times. A convenient location, friendly staff, included breakfast, baggage holding.

On the whole, our stay was pleasant, the staff forthcoming, and we could enjoy New York. Our room was very cold, and it got colder as the night wore on, which hampered our sleep. I looked for extra blankets but there were none. And there did not seem to be a way to generate more heat (or it did not work). Suggestion: supply extra blankets and ensure that the rooms are warm enough. Great location. Loved the proximity to Central Park and the wonderful museums. Relatively quiet area.
