The hotel was used to crash for a night before going on a cruise. Have stayed here before,thought they improved like some of the others in the chain/area. They have only improved the hallways. Room smelled of a wet dog. Not that i have a problem with dogs,just dont want my room to smell like one. Room stuffy,if you have sinus problem. This will be a killer.

Got the room next to elevator all hours the noise from people walking past the door was horrible the carpet was wet when we checked in the room was to tired to ask if we could change

We had a late check in and when we arrived we were charged to the wrong credit credit which I made previously the reservation. The room assigned had a terrible humidity smell, seems like a dog had been inside that room, also the A/C wasn't working. We asked for another room, and the second choice was OK. At 10:00 am housekeeping starts knocking at your door for service. The shower took more than 15 min to start running hot water. It was only a stay for one night (literally 10 hours). Staff was personable but that's where it all ends. The ice machine was broken. The room itself was awful! The bed had metal rods extending out from under the box spring to grab a foot for a nice gash to the toes. The mattress was soft and had no firmness to it at all. The layout of the room required you to view the 32" TV lying on your side as it is on the desk to the left of the bed. I have been to better youth hostels. This was a very disappointing stay and I will avoid La Quinta in the future.

Dirty, smelly, decrepit. Staff was friendly and helpful, room was in a horrible state. Sagging mattress, dirty ruffled curtains, damaged office chair, worn-out carpet and smelly.
