We had a wonderful waiter named Tony! Excellent knowledge of the menu. Seating wasn't great. We asked for a booth and they only have one long "booth seat" with tables and then chairs opposite. Was not impressed with that. No privacy. Food was hit and miss. The fettucinni alfredo was wonderful sauce wise. I ordered chicken for it, and that was absolutely the worst tasting and texture chicken I've ever had. It looked like it was baked, had no flavor or color. Really bad. Do not order it!
The establishment was clean and neatly decorated. Noise level was very quiet. All the waitress and bus boys were neatly dressed and well groomed. If I make one comment regarding dress, I think there should be a dress code. The majority of patrons that were having an evening meal looked like they just pulled clothing off the rack at the goodwill. Baseball hats on backwards, soiled shorts, t shirts and torn jeans. Awesome but they made some changes since we were there last and I missed them they changed the scallops and risotto it was better before and they have that great brick pizza oven and there not doing pizzas anymore. I miss those things.
Best Italian restaurant in Reno. Sunday through Thursday early bird specials are a real bargain.
No problems with a timely reservation - the "Trust Me" selection was excellent.
We had a mussels in a red sauce. Absolutely delicious!!!!!
We have eaten at La Strada many times. The Italian cuisine is delicious. The service and the ambiance are terrific. We not been disappointed.
La Strada never disappoints. Christopher is an excellent server and the food is fresh and well prepared. I would highly recommend La Strada.
La Strada has been a long time favorite of ours for many years. Unfortunately, my favorite dish, the crab stuffed prawns, were removed several years ago and there isn't anything comparable to this dish. Portions have gotten smaller and the prices higher, which means instead of being able to treat ourselves to La Strada at least once a month, it's now only for Special Occasions. I wish they would offer a local's special.
