I have loved this place since I started going there. Great facility for kids to come and play and work out. Great place for tennis and swimming. Perfect place to get some racquetball in for all skill levels. The people that work there are very friendly and helpful. Place is fairly priced and very clean. This is a great family environment. They have great events for all age groups.
i liked this place.. i worked out here for a yr or so. its kinda low key, a little yuppy, but i could get my work done and thats what matters. so make a little trade from meat market to yuppish a little pricey but it reflects the clientel. at least you're not getting the evil eye from freekin big mo, or little puppet or biker frank.. you catch the drift. the people at this gym seem to be healthier than other places, meaning theres not alot of the 1 week wonders that waddle throught the place hogging up 2 starimasters. the fo... read more
This is a great gym and was one of the first out of the Sparetime Racquet Clubs that I visited. Never too crowded, towels provided, great selection of machines, weights, etc. But you can tell that some of their machines are a bit outdated. Also, after visiting several of the other clubs I was really able to see the difference. Some of the other clubs just went though a remodel and it really takes the cake for me.
It's got what you need for a work out. This is definitely a family oriented club. I do have to agree that there are a lot of kids trying to show off in the weight room. The prices are just a bit expensive. For the price we're paying, I REALLY don't like restacking other LAZY peoples' weights. So pick up your SH*T when your finished!
Great equipment, rarely crowded, prompt repairs to facility, very clean and sanitary. This place is has it all, racquetball, tennis, cardio, weights, spin, pilates, yoga, kid lounges, daycare and monthly activities above and beyond just working out. They even provide shampoo, conditioner, hairspray, and more in the locker rooms. 5+++ stars
Really wish this place would listen to their reviews, all reviews. I have been a member on and off since 4th grade (I will be 33 this year). I kid you not, they have many of the same machines and equipment they did back in 4th grade. It's not a place teens or older kids can go after school to meet their parents and do homework like we could before. Not "family" oriented anymore. I've been coming here on and off since 2001 and my extended family has been dedicated clients for as long as I remember so I am a pretty loyal customer when it comes to things. I will say that in the past few years, I've seen a decline in service, treatment, and facilities. If it weren't for the swim team, I would use that money towards a more updated and nice facility and I'll explain why: 1) my kids are on the swim team which requires I pay a family membership as well as swim team fees. The facility is OK. Enough machines, free weights etc. The front desk staff is always pleasant and greets everyone as you walk in the door. The reason for the low rating has to do with the management. 1) when I went to sign up I had to return at a scheduled time to spend my money. This seems to be SOP as I have heard the front desk tell other prospective members the same thing. I guess they don't get it that once you are out of the building you may not return. I'm very disappointed with how this club treats its swim team members. Although we pay both membership fees and swim team fees, swimmers are not allowed to use club towels, spa facilities, or the adult locker room, even when children are accompanied by adults and under supervision. Meanwhile, these amenities are available to other members. This creates a clear sense of inconsistent and unfair treatment toward a specific group of paying members.
