I would not recommend this place. The staff definitely has a bad attitude. We brought our dog in for shots. He does not like the vet. They didn't even try to make friends with him. They were more concerned that we gave him calming drugs 1st. Honestly, if I was a dog, I wouldn't like them either. In stead of shots, we got a lecture and then they refused to refill our dogs prescription until we paid the bill for the service we never got. VCA in Covington is by far better than this place. Why the name change? Before had appointments. My dog was a very shy guy He always helped when they would trim his nails made me so sad. I don't trust any vet with my dogs especially these people. Keeping him in the kennel in the back area. Once the lady drug him by his leash. His eyes bulged tongue was purple probably from her being mean to him. Whoever they have answering the phones is rude and I would never take my dog here if this is the treatment her manger or whoever hired her needs to teach her communication skills and customer service skills quit if your angry
The receptionist today saw me said she would be with me in a minute and took off into the back. She was back there for at least 3 minutes or more she didn't appear happy at all from the start. She sat and said how can I help you? I said I'm checking in for a 4pm and she immediately demanded to know for who and I stated my pets name. Then she said why you here, I stated I was notified my pet needs to be seen for yearly and rabbi shot. I am absolutely disgusted with the changes that have happened since the name change or new ownership took place. Customer service is a zero. I brought my poor cat in and told them I thought her leg was broken after falling from the roof of our house. They charged me $87 for an injury exam and over $75 for pain meds for her. Totally fine. What upsets me is that they told me they would not recommend x-rays because if it were a certain kind of fracture that he would not be able to see it right away. Lost a customer. I arrived on time to my 4:00pm appointment and promptly checked in with a young attendant with green hair at the front desk. I clearly stated my name and the name of my dog. She acknowledged me by stating "take a seat and please wait", which I assumed meant I was checked in. The waiting room was busy and 40 minutes went by. Very disappointed. The office staff, particularly the lady on the left is rather rude. I remember during my dogs visit she was not super nice (assuming it is the same person that always sits there, she did look familiar) But today I went back, because I couldn't find my dogs medication for his ear and he is shaking it bad. This place has definitely declined since the name change. Completely driven by fees and excessive office visits. Tried to get flea meds for my brand new puppy that is constantly scratching and they refused without an office visit, even after weighing her and knowing what dose we would need they said no. I can only speculate, but it seems to me that they refuse to give flea meds without first charging an office fee. Took my Malitipoo here for his first check up and shots. Pretty basic on the inside, just a bunch of customers there with their animals. Kinda reminded me of the waiting room Beetlejuice was in when he was waiting to see the counselor... a variety of funny looking dogs sitting around with waiting room with their even funnier looking owners. lol Joke!
