I brought my dog to Lakeland, on emergency basis, Dr. Ericka, did what I thought was a wonderful job diagnosing her medical issues and treated Abby. Abby was incredibly sick after ingesting chicken bones and the remains of the very old chicken that a bear had drug out of our garbage, and the Dr. got us in quickly that morning and treated my dog. Been taking our furry babies here for decades. I would never want anyone else caring for our dogs. They truly care, take time to listen and are very responsive.

Dr. deb is amazing! Very realistic and informational. She's does an excellent job of answering questions. Ahe also has a very realistic understanding of how to manage my pets care. The staff is also amazing.
We are only up here for the summers, and previously went to a different animal hospital (for 4 summers) for our (3) cat's prescriptions. Every time I went in there, I had to explain who I was. I went to LVH when the other place was going to make me wait 2 weeks for an appointment. When I brought my cat in to LVH, I was greeted BY NAME. The tech, Kathy, listened, responded to and wrote down everything I said. Caring, courteous, competent. My dog needed a doctor to treat an ongoing health condition while we were traveling in the Brainerd area. I'm glad I found Lakeland. They were willing to consult with my vet in Illinois to make sure he received the proper treatment, and it was less expensive than IL too. During my visit I saw many dogs coming and going from the kennel area, so it seems a popular choice for boarding as well.
Thorough, compassionate help by Dr. Melzer. Her care of a very sick dog on a holiday was deeply appreciated. First , solid phone counsel and then a clinic visit. Warm, compassionate and great with our 2 yr old Lab/Shep mix. Thanks so much Dr. Melzer!
Just wants money. Unnecessarily put my dog under for her to shave around a hot spot. The benefit of anesthesia must always outweigh the risks. This vet only cares about $$$, not the health of your pet. Avoid at all costs.

worse vet experience I've ever had going to Lakeland vet. sent home with food for cat and a $800 bill, no medication or solution to the problem. took cat to another vet the next day and issues were taken care of. Lakeland even accused the other vet of malpractice when I requested a refund of part of what I paid. they don't deserve any business
