This was NOT a good option for my child. Off the bat, they placed into first grade after I told them first grade would be way too easy. My child dealt with severe bullying which ultimately led to our choice to homeschool. The teacher and school were awful to my daughter, and yet Laurel Springs chose to go by what THEY put on an evaluation report. I have no idea how anyone could be anything other than thrilled with Laurel Springs. My 8th grader suffered severe motor and vocal tics as a result of the online learning curriculum our public school resorted to consisting of staring at zoom meetings 7 hours a day followed by an additional 2 hours of screen-based homework daily. She can now complete a full curriculum of Algebra, English, History, Health, and Science in a mere 3 hours per day, and uses the reclaimed 6 hours of free time for weekly community art classes, musi... read more

Would not allow my son to attend because he is deaf and I would have to help him by interpreting to him, which is the case anywhere he attends. Complete discrimination!!

I've given this school every possible opportunity to redeem itself. To make a long story short, all you get with this school are $4400 worth of worksheets. There is no "teacher" , no interactivity, no video, no audio, just worksheets that are even full of errors. yes errors in the curriculum. For elementary age children it's a joke. As a teacher myself, this program is just a crib sheet approach to education and lacks the engagement necessary to make school fun and interesting for young learners. On the schools website it says they have an "A+" rating. This is a lie more like a D. I am a school therapist and have worked in the school system for many years. My 5 year old is enrolled and there are many issues. There is no student teacher time where she's actually being taught. There is no student to student interaction. Basically your child is looking at a computer and handing in ALOT of work. The work load is overwhelming and not relevant to the child's learning age. My experience with Laurel Springs from the onset was wonderful. I was assigned Tara as my admissions coordinator and she was extremely patient and very thorough. She answered all my questions and made excellent recommendations to get my family acclimated to the Laurel Springs School culture and digital platform. My girls are D1 commits in the sport of gymnastics. They attended the laurel Springs HS in 9th and 10th grade. They went back to our district HS in 11th grade then COVID hit. We have decided as a family to finish their HS career at Laurel Springs HS. Thank you to Patty McPhie the Senior Academy Coordinator for her help in enrolling the girls. You are AMAZING!!! Laurel Springs is a very good program that I recommend highly.
