Awesome, delicious, fantastic... You won't be disappointed.
Hold on to your boots fellas. This was by far one of the best lunch experiences I have had in a very long time. Just in on the heels of two impromptu trips to LA and Park City, Utah, I find this place in my beloved Houston! Just when I had started to lower my standards, this gem of a restaurant has left me speechless and raised the bar from the presentation of their craft, design/ambience, multi level interaction and overall dining experience. Someone has thought this one through and with good Texas charm. I am coming back!
This place is fantastic! They offer a great brunch menu, complimentary valet and fresh food. One of my favorite spots in Houston. Simply amazing!
The food here is wonderful. As chefs, both my husband and I, it's hard for us to be pleased but we were 80% happy and that says a lot. If we had to narrow it down, we would say, the poke needs a pickled item, the oyster shucking need a bit of attention (I used to do this. They are dried out and sad. Stop rinsing them. You are ruining all the salinity.) The tuna roll is all wrong and the mussles are way to spicy and need more than 2 toast points. Our server was crazy disappointing. The lobster bisque wasn’t soup, it tasted like a chunky sauce. I couldn’t eat it. The bread tasted like they wet it and then left it out to serve. So Gross. Plus side the waiter was great!
This place was horrible, we a party of (20) for a birthday party for my in law, we had one waiter. I ordered the steak and asked for it to be medium well. They brought to me fully cook and very dry. The second steak they brought had no flavor. Very overrated. The service was very slow. The waiter was nice and very professional, but one guy for 20 people.
My daughter and I are definitely foodies. We love experiencing different and diverse flavors. We started with the fried oyster topped deviled eggs with bacon jam as suggested by our server. They were good. She had the chicken with bleu cheese butter which was good accompanied by the squash which was very good. I had the lobster roll which I found to be flavorless and uninspiring along with a simple salad. For dessert we shared a piece of chocolate cake. Tasted like a flourless version without eggs. It was ok. Nothing we tast... read more
The food was excellent but the service was really lacking. I went for my Birthday and there were 7 in my group. Our waiter was waiting on most of the back room but never got a lot of items. I asked for a drink and never got it so had to remind him to make sure it was not on the bill. One of my guests needed mustard and he was almost done before it was received. Plus with our group there was an automatic 20% gratuity and even a 2.50 charge per person as my partner brought my birthday cake in. This was the San Felipe loca... read more
