We went in to celebrate a birthday and were treated horrible. Our waiter made us feel belittled and insecure. He would pretend to not understand our English and seemed annoyed that we would ask for things. He didn’t bring us a birthday dessert until asked and even then it wasn’t like the Normal. We had to ask for the birthday candle. Our total was $170 without tip which seems like a lot to be treated the way we were. SERVICE 0/10
We’ve eaten here before, but this past Friday night was an experience… it took 15 minutes before we placed a drink order. Once we got our drinks, our server took about a half hour to come and take our appetizer order…. You see where this was going. We had a reservation at 8:30 pm and we didn’t get sat until 9:20 pm. Our food took a long time. It was 10:21 before we got our food. I have never had an experience like this at Livery. I was very disappointed.
We had confirmed our reservation by phone as requested by the restaurant and were there 2 minutes before the reserved time. After we checked in the hostesses engaged in a lively debate among themselves and ignored us for several minutes. Finally one of them walked us to an indoor table even though we had requested a table outside. No comment, no apology. When we asked she did not give us the option to wait for a table on the patio. We waited for over 45 minutes for someone to come over and greet us after being seated. I caught the manager Steve’s attention and he said our server had a situation and he would send someone over. The server that came over was obviously uncomfortable with what happened and stumbled over a story about our previous server (who we never met) leaving. Don’t put hot food on lettuce. That’s just common sense. The people next to us were horrible. $10 valet and no street parking options. Every other word out of the people next to us was f this and shit and bitch and whatever else they could come up with. I had to drive home with my 76 year old mother and walk back. Worst Cunningham restaurant ever. Won’t go back. Not a typical Cunningham restaurant. A little sleezy.
