Little too much red spice sauce for me (I shoulda asked for less) but other then that I really enjoyed it
I really liked this place. Visiting from the states and wasn't sure where to eat but this place was just all around solid. Fresh food and nice service.
Lovely pub to have downtown. They have a great selection of cocktails, make a mean old fashioned, and a decent selection on the food menu. The chicken with hot honey was delicious, and the small beef tacos packed a ton of flavour. Our server was excellent, extremely efficient, knowledgeable about the menu, and very friendly. (I think her name was Sophie). Comfortable pub seating, and after 9pm it turns into a party zone.
Just a fantastic place, the staff r absolute weapons and so deadly. It's actually not fair how good they r. Danny, coxy, j, Malay big hearts love them.
Great friendly atmosphere. Server was Anika A. Such a sweet heart. All staff supported eachother. Had the pleasure of sitting by the open kitchen. There was something funny ... loved the laughs. ... oh... the food ... amazing. Curry chicken bowl was brilliant. Friend had a blackened chicken burger. Very good. Fries are basic but good.
What an amazing experience!! The staff really went above and beyond for us. From the moment we walked through the door Mckenna welcomed us with a warm smile and took care of us like regulars, her and Jaden's recommendations were spot on! I had never had a Beermosa before and am a fan! The classic burger was next level, the Sous Chef Clint even brought it out to us once it was ready! Jayden was SUCH a great server! We had a blast. Super hospitable, covid safe, and attentive! Loved the beer selection and the nachos were bomb!
3.5/5, +.5 for service Local Public Eatery replaced what was The Pint, a popular pub on Garry Street. It was a good location for a pub, so I was happy to see it being quickly replaced by Local. Funny enough I haven't dined here until very recently even though I pass by here often. I went here this past week for Taco Week to try out their Pinche Beef Tacos. So I just ordered this burger through the Door Dash app, had never heard of the place, had no idea where it was, what the decor was like, just had the photos to go off. The prices were a little higher than I had planned on spending but the photos made it look like they might make a good burger... and they do. Holy crap do they ever. First of all, the burger was BIG.
