I would go again.....not stellar, but family and friendly
We had an exceptional experience at Luce. The owner delivered our food and was very personable. We felt like we were at someones home. Very intimate and romantic as well!
I love this beautiful place very much! The owner, Joe, is a fine person that has delivered to the San Anto area a FINE little gem that exceeds all of my expectations, every time! I travel over 2400 miles to celebrate my birthday and special business occasions there. It would be a HUGE loss for me if Luce ever went away!!!
The experience at Luce was overall good, however our particular waitress was aloof and inattentive. We frequently repeated our orders, only to have them show up completely different from what we ordered. The other servers appeared great, so it's worth trying again.

Food and presentation were very good. I don't drink but it had a fairly long wine list. The service was excellent. I made a reservation online and they seated me immediately. I had to make it to a concert so I needed to be served quickly. The waiter did a very good job of expediting the meal without making it feel rushed. This neighborhood restaurant boasts an extensive wine list and gluten free options. Our server, Michelle was awesome, she was attentive and knowledgeable. The restaurant has gluten free pasta, perfectly cooked. My meal was delicious. My husband ordered the mixed grill, the sausage was delicious, but the steak wasn't very flavorful. Great menu, great food, outstanding service. The wine list is also great; however, the mark-ups were well beyond the norm (one in particular I noticed was 5 times the grocery store price). Still, the wine prices may be worth swallowing for the quality of the food.
