After having visited Dr. Shah-arlatan several times, I regretted my decision to have gone with him for my treatment. He loves to upsell and throw procedures at you that you don't necessarily need. Do your due diligence. Always ask around and get second/third opinions from other dentists. Choose a provider that works for you, is genuine, and isn't a money monger. Plus, his clinic has the most unpleasant receptionist.

Dr. S is the best a**wipe your dental dollars can buy. He quoted me $4500 for work and goes to me "look, be grateful, this is a great deal since it's discounted". I advised him to not pull my crowns and just the teeth, but he didn't want to do that. That same job was quoted at $2000 at a different dentist. He gave me a bad vibe to begin with, just his body language, thankfully I didn't go ahead with him.

I wanted to give Dr. Shah 0/5 but the system won't let me, so I will leave him with 1/5. His customer service skills are pathetic. I had a few simple questions about dentures & implants and he was super irritated by it. Simply rude. There are way better dentists out there, pls visit someone else.

This guy is absolute sh*t, and that's putting it lightly. He will butcher your mouth as much as he can to make a buck off of you. Has a quick temper, and puts on a tough guy act that just screams "mommy issues". Seriously, do yourself a favor and avoid him. He should be doing us all a favor and stop wasting everybody's time.

Terrible attitude and a terrible dentist! I went in for an extraction and it was the most painful experience ever. I even explained to him my gum sensitivities. Having been to a few dentists, I know being good with your hands is important for a pleasant experience but this doctor was terrible with his handling. Very uncomfortable and unpleasant. I visited him after to share my experience and he gave me the "whatever" attitude. Pathetic. Staff, on the other hand, was reasonable. Seriously, go to the dentist next door.

Please do not ever go see this dentist. I hope no one ever experiences the pain i had after visiting him. He does unnecessary fillings that are poorly done. I will be filing a complaint to the Alberta dental association, they should not let animals become dentists.

This guy is more than horrible. He's such an a**hole. When i simply stated that ddidn't want to go ahead right away with a pprocedure he recommended he says "who's the dentist" in the most rude way. He lies about what he does on your teeth just to make money. I would never ever in my life see him again nor recommend him to anyone. He's is absolutely the worst dentist in the city and I plan on calling the Alberta dental association.

Wow this guy is horrible! First time visiting him since he was near my place. Actually the experience was very similar to the previous poster. I had to do 2 fillings and he totally messed it up. In addition, had a terrible attitude. I really don't know how guys like him enter the health care profession. It's sad.

The stress and pain this dentist has caused me is unimaginable. For starters he shaved down perfectly healthy teeth for no apparent reason. He did poor fillings on all of my teeth that were rough and misshaped. When i asked him about this he said teeth do not always look the same after fillings. Which was a complete lie because he didn't take his time and all his work was sloppy and careless. Luckily he only got to work on the right side of my mouth before i realized how incompetent he was.
