I've been a loyal client at MR for nearly three years. Typically, at the end of summer when my hair gets very blonde, they tone it down to avoid brassiness, and I've always been happy with the results. However, about two months ago I requested the same service, and the colorist (Brazilian, though I don't recall her name) instead dyed my hair a dark brown. My appointment was at 4:30pm Pam dyed my hair and was done in 20 minutes. She was fast but missed some gray hairs. She asked me 40 mins to leave the dye in, I said yes. My scalp started to burn I realized it was 6pm. I'm looking around and the only person was there was the shampoo girl she was doing a blowout. I kindly asked her I need my hair wash. I have been going to the MR Ardmore and KOP locations for over 2 years. My hair color is consistent and overall I have had a good experience. Lately I have experienced timing issues. I'll arrive on time for my appointment and have waited up to 40 minutes for my appointment to start. My appointment all in should be around an hour, so I end up being at the salon for 2 hours. Terrible atmospher, I was greeted when I walked in, that was it! No one talked to me the entire time, not that I need to be doated over but geez a little positive conversation would have been slightly nice given it was my first visit. When it was time for my shampoo the stylist ask the shampoo girl if she had time to shampoo my hair and she said "I guess so" I'm like, ok that make me feel really welcome! I am coming from an hour away to get my hair colored. I joined Madison Reed when in Georgia and moved so I am new to the area. I missed a turn on the turnpike and knew I would be 10 minutes late, so I called and left a message. The salon hadn't even opened yet, which lets me know they would not have been set to start immediately at 10 sharp, but someone called me back at 10:06 and let me know that they had a 10 minute grace period. Madison Reed has one job. Color. I am new to the area and was looking for a new salon because I was looking for a change. Plus my hair had been lightened and fried by a previous salon. However, now I only wanted a color that would be gentle to my fragile hair and cover my roots and even it out.
