Madison Reed Hair Color Bar is new, and I'm so happy they opened! They are very reasonably priced, which is perfect for someone like me who's on a strict budget. DISHONEST, UNPROFESSIONAL, INCOMPETENT COLORIST I had my roots done yesterday by Fari. She recommended an additional service called "Bonding Time Pro." I told her that I thought I had it done fairly recently, but she said, "No. You haven't had it done since January." Based on her assertion, I told her to go ahead with it. I really wanted to like this place. I didn't care for all the upsale, isn't that the point of booking online. My colorist kept engaging with other workers and not speaking English, which I think is highly inappropriate. I passed to the assistant for washing and didn' pay for a blowout, after seeing g their options of hair products, I opted to just drive home and finish my hair so I couldn't see the color. While I have been here a few times and the stylists are nice and friendly, I always leave with dye stains on my crown area and face and part of my makeup gone. They somehow manage to always get dye on and in my ears too. I don't understand why they are not more careful when coloring especially with dark hair. I came into Madison Reed Laguna Niguel excited to find a salon close to home where I could pop in for root touch-ups. I decided to try them for subtle face-framing highlights on my dark brown hair -- specifically light brown, sun-kissed balayage with a soft money piece, while staying overall brunette. Would give zero stars if possible. I called and was told I could do a walk in consultation and upon arrival the doors were locked. I could see other stylist coloring hair and other customers inside and one employee by the entrance who was talking to another lady and never acknowledged how I was trying to open the door and it was locked. I am extremely dissatisfied. I went for highlights, and all of my hair got burned. Now I have to cut it, and the color was not what I wanted at all. My entire scalp is red and inflamed. The stylist had originally scheduled someone else to do it the day before, but then she said she didn't have enough time to complete all the highlights for me and changed my appointment. A lady named Fari ended up doing my hair. I am truly disappointed.

I didn't like the root color of my hair specifically after I showed her what color I want. Website has 20 percent discount for first time customers and she was trying to charge me full price and I had to tell her twice for website discount and I didn't like dishonesty. The price they charge for just color and wash if you don't buy membership is ridiculous and I can go anywhere else with good quality. I would never go back
