Not bad, I think they use good products. My color turned out a bit too dark and when I mentioned my hairstylist said it will wash out a bit after couple of shampoos. Not sure I wanted to hear that. When applying the color she used some cream around the edges ( face skin/hair) only after I questioned. At the end I spent a while trying to remove the "color" off my skin. Loved it! The colorist was so friendly and the shampoo assistant was so nice and gave me a tour of the place. I visited Brea last month (it was my first time at Madison Reed) and I did not get that kind of experience. This location is was so much better and worth the drive for me!

I love how cute it is inside and the concept. It was my first time going to MadisonReed. I got the membership and so my roots were prepaid and I didn't have to pay anything besides tip. I like the hair drying station where you do it yourself and they have all their products out. The only things I didn't like were that there was no place to put your wet towel and dirty robe as you leave. I had to flag someone down before I left. Madison Reed Hair Color Bar is new, and I'm so happy they opened! They are very reasonably priced, which is perfect for someone like me who's on a strict budget. You get salon quality results without the high salon prices.I walked in with light hair and walked out a brunette, and I couldn't be happier with the results. This is the 2nd time I've been to Madison Reed. The 1st time I loved the color the girl picked out and the girl who applied it. I went back a second time and found out you can't ask for the same person. The color is on file, but it didn't come out as this 1st time. The person who did my hair seemed to be in a big rush putting the color on my roots. Come to find out, she went to lunch. I never saw her again after another girl washed it. Terrible unprofessional place. They don't care about the client. It's like hair color factory. Everyone looks overworked and unhappy. Beware they will go over your highlights, talking, hurrying and not paying attention to their work. I have had multiple colorists and similar experience. If you don't want your hair pulled while putting color, face poked by long nails by a lady doing the blow dry, who takes forever by the way, please don't go to this location. Newport Beach location much better.

DISHONEST, UNPROFESSIONAL, INCOMPETENT COLORIST I had my roots done yesterday by Fari. She recommended an additional service called "Bonding Time Pro." I told her that I thought I had it done fairly recently, but she said, "No. You haven't had it done since January." Based on her assertion, I told her to go ahead with it. This service costs an extra $138. When I returned home, I checked my prior appointments and found that I had received the Bonding Time Pro on 5-3-2026. I really wanted to like this place. I didn't care for all the upsale, isn't that the point of booking online. My colorist kept engaging with other workers and not speaking English, which I think is highly inappropriate. I passed to the assistant for washing and didn' pay for a blowout, after seeing g their options of hair products, I opted to just drive home and finish my hair so I couldn't see the color.
