I have lived at 855 Hinman for about 10 years and have had a positive experience. The units are nice and bright and the halls, lobby and laundry room are clean and updated. Maintenance has always been friendly, responsive and prompt with repairs. I particularly appreciate the parcel pending lockers and observed a new treadmill. Main Station Apartments is my home for five years now, and we really are happy living here. We have amazing view of the lake with the beautiful sunrises from east and amazing sunset sky from west. Every time our place needs maintenance small or big repairs TLC management takes care of the repairs pretty quickly. I like the laundry area with fairly new washing/drying units 5 of them-which is great if you have few laundry loads to do all at once. I have enjoyed living here at the Main Station Apartments for more than six years. This apartment building is a quiet and peaceful place to live. The rent is very reasonable for the Evanston area, and this building has a lot of great amenities. The friendly managerial and maintenance staff are professional, and they promptly reply to inquiries and maintenance repairs. This is a nice, clean, and safe place to live, and I do recommend The Main Station Apartments for your next place to live.
This was a nice place to live until TLC decided to contract with an agency that deals with people who have mental issues. We have a guy who roams the hallway at night screaming and tapping on doors. We feel captive with some of the new elements that have moved in. Another tenant loves to destroy property inside the building. I do not recommend moving in here with the current state of affairs until TLC ends this contract. This is something they need to tell new prospective tenants. I will be looking elsewhere. This is a great place to live! I lived in the same unit for eleven years, and they helped me get a new one two doors down. Sally the apartment manager went out of her way to keep me living here. Thumbs up!
