The procedure only took a few minutes and I felt absolutely no pain or discomfort. The doctor and assistant explained the procedure in detail beforehand to ease any nervousness. They also talked me through the procedure so I would know what they were doing while they were doing it. I felt no pain or discomfort in the days after the procedure. I began to see an improvement in my eyesight within a few days.
It was great. Dr. Maloney did a fantastic job. He asked me how am i doing before the surgery, I told him i was so nervous. He told me i will be alright. He knew how to calm me down. I am very pleased of the results especially i am a diabetic person. God bless u Dr. Maloney. More power to u.

Dr. Shamie did the first of two DMEK procedures on my eyes when she was at the USC-Doheney site and the result was fantastic. When the Fuchs condition worsened on my left eye to the point where I needed the second surgery, I followed her to the west side and the result was even better than with the first.
