The atmosphere is vey nice. The food left us disappointed. The hint should have been that there are so many different items. how can you know what they make really well? Such a beautiful setting. I only wish the food and service could match.
Waited over forty five minutes for a service to appear. Grabbed the bartender to take our order, but was advised That at that late hour the kitchen was only serving burgers salads and pizzas. TT the manager who apologized for the wait , told us to order what we wanted and comped our entrees. The cook must not have been happy as the food was very mediocre. A disappointing experience overall.
We ordered a pizza with figs and goat cheese and ask if they are fresh ones. The pizza was made with dry figs and definitely not with goat cheese. The salads our friends ordered was very sweet. Nice location, nice service but she did not informed us that the figs were dry. We will not recommend this.
We waited for ninety minutes and never received our food. Others around us including a party of five waited a long time but eventually were served. When a party near us that had been seated 30 minutes after us got their to-go box and bill, we decided we had waited long enough. We left money on the table for our drinks and walked out. We will not return.
Patio seating was comfortable until their tent was being set up behind us. They were using jackhammers that were extremely loud. Not just a little annoying - very loud to a disturbing level. When we asked the manager to pause the use of the jackhammer for just enough time for us to eat - we were told that was not an option. Good enough meals and great atmosphere… that’s about it. we didn’t get silverware and napkins until halfway through our ($35, not priced on the menu) charcuterie board. Meals were fairly priced and tasted great. Simple cheese, grapes, strawberries, bread, and three pieces of capicola are not worth more than the meals. Drinks were also a little watered down tasting. I don’t usually leave bad reviews for restaurants but I truly was disappointed.
Food was okay. They seem to have mashed potatoes that are purple with some type of raisin in it that tasted very bland. Not many options for sides. Steak was good. Waitress was amazing and great hospitality. The place is interesting and loved the idea of dining in a old mansion.
The initial impression of the restaurant was very dirty, the entrance was full of debris and not well-maintained. The hostess was very nice and gave us options for seating. Once we were seated the service was terrible. Our waitress was very unattentive, slow to take our order and after she finally took our dinner order she never came back. Had a reservation for Fathers Day for 1:30. After being seated and waiting a few minutes and ordered a glass of wine and looking at the menu, our waitress (who was very sweet) came over and told us they were completely out of eggs which was about 3/4 of the menu being Father’s Day brunch. Not a huge deal to change up our order.
