Beautiful place but lacking in many areas. The menu does not fit the facilities Aesthetic. Inside really is beautiful but the menu is more bar food. We had a new appetizer which was mushroom bruschetta. The bread was large sliced bread that was not toasted and lathered in a thick gravy with mushrooms. Our server was sadly the worst we ever had :( We were her only table (we were the only ones in the room) and she was no where to be seen. 3.5 hours for dinner. We waited 45 min for an outside table and then it was another 2+ hrs at the table before we got our food. The waiter was good and he did all he can. It was poor management with not enough
Only 3 parties in the dining areas, but service was worst we have ever had. No ice or lemon in waters. Server disappeared after order. Apologized and said she got to talking in the patio. (No customers there) Served coffee but never came back to refill cup. We left upset after spending $100+ for our 56th Wedding Anniversary. We have dined in the building since 1981 for special ocassions. The food was delicious, but service abominable.
Server was inattentive, and forgetful. We were disappointed. Food was nothing special and overpriced.
So disappointed to see the the soft furniture being removed and tables added this is the appeal of the place this gives it that "home" feel and one of the main reasons we love to meet there with friends. This will make it just another place to eat so sad. Going back on Saturday and so hoping they change their mind and realize this is a huge mistake.
Our waiter was very nice and tried to do a good job. Unfortunately, the bar tender took forever and so did the food. When the food arrived the steak( two people ordered) was inedible( literally couldn’t cut it with a steak knife) and the Santa Fe salad was extremely small and did not look put together. The curry chicken was the only meal that was adequate. The waiter brought us a free chocolate cake and took the steak off the bill. However, it wasn’t his fault. I think they’re just really short on staff.
The food took a very long time to come out. Once it did half of it was cold and not cooked all the way. During that 45 min wait we didn’t get checked on once to see if we needed more drinks or anything. As a guest who has dined here multiple times I also noticed that the quality of certain items we love was off. The dessert menu had 3 options. Overall would not choose again for a special occasion
Food was fair to poor as was the service. Ordered a desert and had to wait 30 minutes for it. It was supposed to be warm to hot and it was cold and all dried out and tasted worse. If you go here hope you have better food and service.
They were out of the two dishes i wanted to try. They were also out of the one cocktail i was hoping to try. Waiter, Nick was new and dealt with everything very well. He was wonderful. Ambiance is beautiful and feels like it’s set back in time, yet they were playing Justin bieber…soft jazz might have felt more appropriate?
