I was satisfied with Dr. Pinto's assessment of my shoulder problem, but I was uncomfortable with the fact that, during my time in the examination room with him, he was not wearing a mask. Given the recommended COVID protocol, I was quite disappointed and uneasy with this.
I have been having shoulder pain for the past four years from playing intense overhead sports and during the first was told by my PCP that it was tendinitis. After physical therapy for this injury failed, I decided to see Dr. Pinto. It took him maybe 5 minutes to realize what was wrong and explain what glenohumeral internal rotation deficit (GIRD) is. Dr. Pinto repaired my right rotator cuff in 2013, and the left one in June 2019. Both surgeries went well, and the follow-up appointments for the most part were handled on-time. I would definitely recommend Dr. Pinto.
I would give Dr. Pinto and his team 10 stars, if possible. After over a year of pain and suffering, not being able to sleep, unable to lift over 3 lbs, I met Dr. Pinto after being told that I would be living with my shoulder pain for the rest of my life. Dr. Pinto restored my hope and performed superior capsule reconstruction ("SCR") surgery and the results have been tremendous. The healing/strengthening process has been slow, but I feel 100x better than I did a year ago. Don't give up hope!
Dr. Pinto's expertise and experience are, I believe, unsurpassed. My shoulder surgery last October 2019 was successful; I have full use of the shoulder, and will be playing golf and boating shortly. Dr. Pinto's team offered excellent support as well.
Dr. Pinto has performed extremely successful total replacements of both of my shoulders. He is everything you need in an orthopedic surgeon--highly skilled, many years of experience, and a professional office and bedside manner. I believe his orthopedic care is second to none. Scott (his PA) also has my complete trust--he too has top notch skills, professionalism, and is easy to talk to. Lastly, but certainly not least, is the rest of his office staff--they are fabulous!
Dr. Pinto recognized right away that I had an irreparable rotator cuff that had been misdiagnosed by a previous physician. His confidence in the latest procedures and the need to act quickly to improve my quality of life and reduce pain was refreshing. He performed Superior Capsular Reconstruction on my shoulder in Aug 2018. As of Jan 2019 I am in a much better place. I can sleep at night with no pain and my range of motion and strength is almost back to normal. Thumbs up to Dr. Pinto
Dr. Pinto is an outstanding Orthopaedic Surgeon. He performs excellent diagnostics and takes his time thoroughly explaining your issue and your options. My rotator cuff surgery went very well, and my follow-up visits helped me understand what was going on in the healing process and what to expect in the coming weeks. He has excellent attention to detail and a wonderful disposition with his patients. He is a Blessing to his profession!
