I worked with Mark Sandberg while trying to purchase a property in Moose Lake using a VA loan. Unfortunately, a key eligibility issue was missed early in the process. The home was a pre-HUD manufactured property built in 1970, which makes it ineligible for VA financing. This information was available in the listing and should have been identified before moving forward with the appraisal. Mark is the definition of a piece garbage. I used him to get a va loan setup. But when he offered a terrible interest rate. I left. He held my va appraisl hostage inordinate to sabotage me buying my home. Find a different lender.

VA appraisals are ordered, assigned, and controlled by the Department of Veterans Affairs, not by individual lenders. A lender cannot “hold an appraisal hostage” or prevent it from transferring once the borrower chooses to work with another provider. Additionally, interest rates are determined by market conditions and VA program guidelines at the time of application, not arbitrarily set by a loan officer.
