Some of the items requested for the underwriter were just ridiculous. I’ve had multiple mortgages and refinances and never had to dig up and provide so many nonsensical things. I was the most unhappy at the end when about $400 of charges were just thrown in at the last minute. I’m glad I thoroughly reviewed it to see it. I made my displeasure known and they did make up for it, but I feel others may not be as thorough to catch something like that.

More communication about how long things would take not necessarily from Matthew Givens, but form the rest of the team, underwriting etc. We had many hang ups along the way, including with confirmation of work and from the HOA, and I only found out because I called/emailed and asked after not hearing anything. It would have been great to receive CC emails or letting us know what we were waiting for so we could help push things along earlier.

Matthew was great at getting things done especially during COVID. I refinanced 2 properties simultaneously. Some things that could have been improved. -79 days to close and fund is extremely long to refinance two properties. -Many needless & repeated errors from MoM team. -Communication could be more clear and welcoming. Very early on I felt like questions were not welcomed. At the end I am glad to have finally closed this deal and thank Matthew for his hard work on this.
