The original person (Mauricio) handling the loan was ok at first, but when he made a mistake did not own up to it and passed blame to (me) the client. Fortunately his coworker/wife (Blair) and Keke handled the rest of the process and ended up salvaging the relationship with the company. Thank you ladies for being so good at your jobs and getting my wife and I into our new home.

This was an interesting experience. I’ve went through the house buying process multiple times and never have I been asked the questions I was asked through Velocio. I was asked things only for them to ask me to contact the business to get the same documents I’ve sent them. The last days were very hectic and unorganized. Also, didn’t like the fact that to almost every question I had the answer was “This is common with lenders” instead of explaining why. I need more transparency. I asked for loan estimate several times and only one was emailed to me. When my loan officer was on vacation, the manager took over and changed the number we agreed on. He challenged customers to look for other lender's when it's only 10 days to closing, instead of working on helping customers. Worse experience ever.

1. Better communication with the borrowers when requesting necessary documents. 2. Send a checklist of documents to future borrowers to prevent a delay on closing. Overall, we do not recommend the loan officer assigned to us for any future borrowers because he was unprofessional in calling us “liars” and not holding himself accountable for causing a delay on our closing along with us missing time from work.
