This is by far the most incompetent frustrating office staff i have ever encountered. I love Dr. Smith, he’s an awesome Doctor but i can’t deal with the issues with his office staff anymore. Calling there requires you waiting on the line a minimum of 10 minutes then you are always transferred to the assistants voice mail who most of the time won’t call back, so you have to do this all over again the next day. I had an extremely bad experience with EyeMed staff. It seems all they want is to get to your money and are not interested in patient care. First it took 6 calls to make an appointment because every time I called they couldn't find me in their system. Somehow the person answering the phone had my wrong info,, but had not records that I had called before, nor who answered the call previously, so no one had updated my personal info that I kept providing When I showed up for my appt., it was never made , so I wasted my time g... read more

I went to the medeye associates in Doral FL. There other location. Stay away! They will make your eyes worse than when you came in. The meds did not work and they do a glocoma test every time you show up which is suppose to be once a year not every week, but w the meds they prescribe you it is no wonder. They will ruin your eyes! Also they recommended I go to one of their other locations that does not take insurance for natural tears. They give you an appointment for 9 am and they give you the service at 4pm. Dozens of people waiting for many hours. Why they don't schedule the appointments at 9, at 10, at 11, etc., and distribute the people that will receive the service or the cataract operation, instead of making them wait for many hours. We complained to them about this obvious error and they will not do anything about it. By the way, Dr. Sanjay Smith is a very good doctor. Do not choose this place for surgery. Had one cataract surgery - which I was told after the fact that I didn’t need. Advised to buy a “special “ lens for $4000. Unfortunately i followed their advice. One year later I’m having surgery with ocuplastic surgeon (of course, not a MedEye surgeon) to repair the damage to my eye muscle. I have ptosis - eyelid drooping because of carelessness during cataract surgery. (And they were annoyed when I cancelled the scheduled surgery on other eye. I knew there was a problem th... read more
