this was our THIRD visit to Tackett's Hideaway! Tackett's has became our home away from home. we have visited other places but always end up back at the container! we spent hours fishing. we caught several fish. if you love to relax and fish this is the best place to do it. the fire pit was awesome to use in the evenings. there is also a John boat to take out if you want. the hot tub is always great at the end of the day to look at the stars! just pack your bags and go! they have everything ready for you! from dishes,wood fo... read more
We had a wonderful 2-night stay! The property was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. We especially enjoyed the hot tub — it was the perfect way to relax while soaking in the beautiful, private scenic view. The location was ideal: peaceful and tucked away, yet just a short drive to grocery stores and great local restaurants. It was the perfect mix of convenience and seclusion. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!
Amazing stay. secluded but close to take a trip to a bigger city like Huntington or Charleston. Will definitely be back.

It’s an excellent unit, for me it’s maybe a once in a life time experience shipping-container made into a getaway and it’s really nice . Would love to come back .

A very unique place to stay in a cabinized shipping container. We loved getting a night away from the kids and having some peace to unwind at this space!
Awesome place to stay for a little private get away! Comfortable bed, awesome over-head shower and great Wi-Fi with two mounted Roku Smart TV’s! Great hot tub and fire pit area in front of lake. It’s a great little hidden gem!💎
Meek’s place is very nice and clean the only problems we had were trying to find it and getting to it. The driveway is very steep, muddy and would’ve been almost impossible to make up had I not had my 4wd truck. Other than that my wife and I had a great time.
