Made a reservation a week ahead, but still ended up sitting next to the kitchen entrance, even though I had asked for a quiet table away from the kitchen. :-( First time I've ever had to pay for bread, but the Blue Dog appetizer was marvelous. Both the corn chowder & the scallops entrée were fantastic. Server was very attentive, and water was replenished constantly by the wait staff. Pretentious, stuffy, and the food was simply edible. For the price one would expect delicious food but it was sub par.
Everything was fine with exception to the steaks taste. Very rough, not the best cut.
We had a light meal with two salads (the Mesh and the Wedge) and then the Lobster Mac side and the Nashville Hot Chicken. The salads were fantastic, but the Lobster Mac did not have any lobster in it, and the Hot Chicken lacked any Nashville hot flavor or anything worth the price. Atmosphere and service were fantastic. Salads were great. Entrees were below average.
We were seated in what appeared to be a back room of the restaurant. The room was full and the noise level was very high. I wanted a nice romantic evening for my wife and I but it was anything but that. There were 10 people behind us at one table who were loud and didn’t mind being so. Our waitress treated us like an after thought, I assume because she was dealing with the ten people behind us. Food was not good. We waited over an hour for our food. Server said there was a huge party in front of us. Pitiful
I hate to provide a negative review but I would like to see this business succeed. I brought two female friends to have our traditional Wednesday dinner. We ordered the chef special duck meatballs which were reasonably priced but were hard and lukewarm at best. To be quite honest a regular meatball would’ve been far better flavor and texture.
