great value for the price. Great value for the money. Had some trouble printing from my computer to get it to print black and white only, not color. Scanning works great. Like that I can print 11x17 on this machine

It's time to replace the ink cartridges. It's been a good printer, as are most are, so far. I bought this one because of price of replacement cartridges. It's time to replace them. My good opinion depends on the availability and price of ink cartridges. So we will see. The software provided is large and hard to get setup right.
Absolutely love it. Love the two sided page print ability in record short time. Image sharpness is much improved over my previous Brother printer. Controls simpler & easy to understand.
My BROTHER from a different Mother!! Great colors, fast printing, ease of use, user friendly Only one small problem - I would like to see more choices for the fax. The settings allow choices up to 4 rings, I would like it to go up to 6 rings.
WORKS GREAT FOR MY USE I really like my brother mfc-j5845dw business smart machine. It prints quickly and is easy to use. I use mine to print, fax and scan.

Great All-in-one printer Overall, I think this is a tremendous all-in-one printer. However, the Brother software is horrible. It makes it very difficult to make simple setting changes such as, changing from one-sided to two-sided. It's nice having two paper feeds but, I still haven't figured out how the second paper feed works. The machine always insists that I put paper in the main tray. I would love to leave some checks in the upper tray and be able to select it. The software does nothing to help
