Easy setup This printer was super easy to setup although I don't use the fax functionality. I try to keep it low-tech at home so I didn't connect it to the wireless and so instead I used the CD software that came in the box to install it. I also used a USB cord to connect it to my laptop (not included in the box). The USB cord is in an odd place where you have to lift up the top half of the printer to plug it in. Hidden characters can make Wifi pwd setup a pain. The special char ($) is deeply hidden. I was setting up mobile printing on the phone. On the printer, I needed to log into the router. I utilize the DOLLAR SIGN ($) as one of my characters, in place of the letter "S" as a password character. OK, WHERE IS IT ??? I searched the brother site and got no insight. Great value A great value for a printer. Ink seems to last much longer than my previous HP. Print is good quality.
Great for home use, not for small business Does most things very well. Is kind of loud and a bit slow when printing. PLEASE NOTE: this printer does not handle label printing well and the company tech support will not help you with label printing issues. It will do mostly ok for simple text on labels, but any color/design on labels will not come out correctly. The company said this model “does not support label/sticker printing” so there was nothing they could to to help me troubleshoot the issues I was having.
Good Printer with low cost ink Good printer but works only sometimes when printing through phone. Printing from laptop always works though. Can't complain so far printed over 100 pages and the ink seems to never go down.
Excellent printer Did research on Consumer's Report prior to purchase and this printer was highly rated. It is quiet and so far flawless. Quite happy with it!
Working good i've had this printer for a few months now and so far it has been working good for me
Works Great Setup was quick, easy and uneventful. Everything we have printed so far looks great, and prints quickly. The scanning software was easy to use, and the scans look good. One negative is that I did have to start the scan from my computer, and walk back to the printer in another room, when I wanted to scan something else. Maybe it's possible to do it from the printer, but if so, it wasn't intuitive. I did use the document feeder for scanning letter size documents, and that worked well.
