Inkjet vs laser? It's not even a competition anymore. WIll never buy another inkjet. Maybe I'm giving this 5 stars because I'm comparing it to my terrible all-in-one HP inkjet. Another caveat is that I just bought it yesterday. Four Stars Good all purpose machine
I love this printer I love this printer. Easy setup and printing is good. Toner resonably priced. This is the 3rd one I have purchased. One for my home and 2 for staff at work.
Got Easier Once disabled Firewall (noisery than std laser) Update - remember to disable your firewall. Was easy to print using Airport (Apple) but could not get program to work with McAfee Firewall. Once disabled I was able to set up scanner easily. Once done, enabled Firewall and works. Its still noisier than my Lexmark Laser but for a home printer, its more than fine. Trouble-free laser printer Since Amazon tends to lump reviews of similar models together, I'll start by saying that the model I purchased is the MFC-L2740DW. I have owned this printer for a year and a half, and it has been trouble-free. The toner costs are much less than the ink cartridge costs for my previous ink jet printer. Easy to use, great quality I bought this printer on 4/2/2106 and it was delivered on 4/4/2016. I chose this one because I've been very satisfied with a very old (probably 15 years or more) Brother MFC printer. Set-up for the new one was easy and I had it up and running from USB cable and via WiFi within 10 minutes of plugging it in. Printing freedom has arrived!!! I love that I no longer have to worry about how much I'm printing. This is the third multipurpose printer we added to our home network. Before this we had two color inkjet printers. One of them has just become outdated and doesn't seem to want to sync with anything else on the network. Five Stars Great product! All I need for a small business
Missing vital feature. It's actually a great little machine for the money. The biggest drawback is you cant create shortcuts for scanning. So if I want to scan from the machine to my computer 2 sided black and white pdf, there are at least 8 buttons to push, each and every time time you scan a document with the same requirements. It gives you the option to save as shortcut but the only parameter it actually saves is the computer to send it to. This is nuts and a big minus in my view.
