SATISFACTORY, BUT COULD BE BETTER. In my experience, it's an okay multi-functional machine . . . . Unfortunately, the print quality is not as good as I had expected. On a scale of 1 to 5, in my opinion, the print quality is a 3. The fax feature is unimpressive.
This printer works well. The only gripe I have ... This printer works well. The only gripe I have with it is whenever I try to print a high resoluton image wirelessly from, it says "out of memory" and cancels the job.
Mac Users...they have fixed the issue I purchased this machine just last week. When I hooked it up I had the same problems every mac user listed, but I called brother and they walked me through updating to the newest firmware and now it works perfectly. No more sleep mode issue, scans just fine, and prints on request form both my Mac book and my daughters PC. (See the Update) Brother MFCL2740DW Wireless Monochrome Printer with Scanner, Copier and Fax Like the other Brother printers in our Home Office the MFCL2740DW was a breeze to set up on Windows 10. I didn't even use the included Brother software disk. Just plugged the unit in. Went to the menu and logged into the WLAN. Another good brother product Have had for 1 week. Have connected via USB. Print quality good, prints fast especially after 1st copy. Is a bit noisy when printing but not annoying. Scanner works very well. Used sheet feeder and 10 pages scanned very quickly without error. Double sided printing works well. I like the software, gives you very good control. Controls easy to use.
