Very professional and informative. Loved that Dr. Metz did not rush through and was very attentive.

Chose to visit Dr. Merz as a 2nd opinion on a recommended hip transplant because his approach is conservative. He explained why I do need the transplant and answered all my questions. He did not seem rushed and was very thorough and caring. I decided to schedule the surgery with him.
Dr Metz is top notch. He always comes in with a smile, what a great bedside manner, he will take time to explain things to you and answer your questions. He also performed surgery on my knee when another orthopedic would not. Now Dr Metz is treating me for my hip and I have no worries in this world about it. Thank you Dr Metz
Had knee pain in both knees. Dr Merz took ex rays and explained issues with my knees. Gave me options. Very comfy asking him questions.
Dr. Merz performed a hip resurfacing and labral repair on my hip joint in 2019. After seeing 2 other orthopedic surgeons, he correctly diagnosed my problem and recommended a repair rather than replacement. I have been very satisfied with the results so far (after 4 months). He is caring, responsive, and easy to understand. He also responds to emails directly and promptly which is unusual for doctors. I highly recommend Dr. Merz for hip and knee problems!
After seeing several physicians, I met Dr. Michael Merz. I found him to be very professional, but his kindness and empathy came through. I’m a registered nurse, but did not reveal my education to him when I saw him for a consultation. Normally, I would have seen a Duke or UNC orthopedic surgeon. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give him a 20!! I would gladly, with confidence, recommend him.
