I love that Dr. Merz takes the time to explain everything and answer all my questions. None of my appointments felt rushed. My hip surgery was successful and I am living my life pain free.
Dr. Merz has a reputation among other providers and patients as being a excellent surgeon with consistent great surgery outcomes. He's clear, compassionate and caring. Just had my second hip replacement with him and wouldn't RH think of choosing anyone else!
Dr. Merz did my knee replacement surgery and everything went great. He is an excellent surgeon in my opinion and I would certainly recommend him.
Dr Merz is patient and gives his undivided attention to work with me to resolve my chronic pain issues after partial knee replacement 6 months ago. He never makes me feel rushed or down plays my symptoms and continues to offer viable options to resolve. I highly recommend him as your partner with joint care!
Dr. Merz patiently and thoroughly answered all my questions about knee replacement surgery. I had his full attention and never had the feeling that I was just another patient that he had to get out of the way in order to move along to the next one. That alone is worth a 5-star rating. Beyond that, he was quite personable and a pleasure to talk with. I left the appointment with a lot of trust in Dr. Merz.

Dr. Merz is a kind and caring Doctor who really cares about his patients. He is smart and qualified in his field of medicine. He did hip replacement surgery for me and I highly recommend him.
If you are looking for a hip-replacement surgeon, you've found him (I can't speak to knee replacement). Great surgeon, great bedside manner. He did my hip-replacement on an outpatient basis; I went home the same day, was walking with only a cane after a week or so.
