We asked to get locked into a rate back in March. We were told in an email we couldn’t lock until 60 days out. What I don’t understand is the false advertisement of locking 12 months in advance on every email from kb loan office employee. Clearly that wasn’t an option for us when asked back in March and what is upsetting is to hear that Michael locked loans 90 days out for friends of ours that also purchased KB homes. Communication overall throughout the process was poor and inconsistent.

Being treated with respect, not talked down, not having to constantly tell him the figures were incorrect, and not losing a lower interest rate because he didn’t lock the rate in for several days after our deposit was given to the sales office.

I was treated like a number. Very poor communication and I was told at one point that if I had a better credit score we would not bei having the conversation we were having. I was so very disappointed in my experience I will never finance with KB ever again.

Michael was really bad at communicating, not only did he not get back to me at the times he said he would he also forgot to mention and or explain the final numbers of my contract. He also called me and gave me a interest rate and then locked in a different rate a week later. If I didn’t reach out to try and get info from Michael I would have never heard from him. And the times i did hear from him if he needed me to complete something on my end I was quick in response and fixing the issue.

Underwriters were changed I believe 30 to 40 days from closing. Underwriters experience and knowledge of VA loans poor. Two days before closing underwriting asked for additional VA information which took an addition 40+ days. She didn’t review VA information thoroughly to see what was required. We had to continue to see this through with Michael Keegan’s help. Will not or ever recommend anyone to use KB Loan dept. Worst experience.
