We started off with Brett Doeppenschmidt, which was a disaster. He called us at 9:30pm on a Sunday to go over the terms of our contract, which were not even close to what we had signed. He said he was reading directly from our contract, and the incentives were ten times better than what we *thought* we had signed so we got excited. Lack of communication and asking for irrelevant documents that has nothing to do with income or expenses. Asked for the same documents despite providing numerous time.

Working with KBHS was overall incredibly unpleasant. From lack of communication, to losing paperwork, to delaying or closing, etc. Michelle took over our loan, failed to get any information from our original officer, refused to run my credit, delayed our closing by almost a month, and almost cost me a $10k grant which I had been guaranteed up until the week before we were supposed to close. She rarely communicated with me unless I reached out first and was short tempered.

The entire loan process was a disaster and very confusing. Michelle however was the one constant and helpful thing in this whole process. I think KB needs to look at the way its underwriting is handled. Completely mismanaged and inefficient. Multiple requests, multiple times- making us update the same request again and again and keeping us guessing till the last min So even though Michelle was excellent and I loved working with her I would not recommend anyone going with a KB Home loan.
