Having owned well-trained dogs all my life, I joined Midwest Dog Training in 2007 to team up with the founder. Having good success with Midwest Dog Training’s system, I decided to dedicate my livelihood to training dogs. Since I purchased it in 2009, I have successfully trained well over 2,000 dogs. We first want to say thank you so much to Chris and Bryon and the entire staff. We called quite a bit just checking in her, and either Chris or Bryon were always so calming and kind and reassuring. There is such a change in Penny, our 7 month Shihzon , that it makes our hearts feel so warm knowing our choice to send her was the very thing she needed. She listens so well! Last spring I took my 11 month old Goldendoodle to Midwest Dog Training. I have owned many dogs, but this "wild man" was out of control. Thankfully I found Chris and put my dog in the 3 week board and train program. I am so happy and grateful for the results and highly recommend this trainer. 5 stars!
Chris and crew deserve 6 out of five stars. Our year old German Shepard came to us after two other owners gave him up. Our vet classified him as a dangerous dog. Disheartening as that was we would not abandon him again. We believe that his basic problem was he had never been trained. My attempts to train him wouldn’t have been able to help the situation fast enough to protect our sanity. We sent our 16 month old German Shepard to Chris for the three week program. I would like to thank Chris and Brian for taking care of our dog. She came back more calm and well behaved. Chris focused on certain training skills and I have noticed a positive change in our dog. She still likes to test us, but once we go back to the basic skills she picks right back up where she left off. Chris explained continual training techniques to continue with training and I am pleased with the outcome.
Chris came and picked up our three girls. The one we have with the most problems...had just about every single issue you could think of. By the end of the 3 week stay, Chris was able to put her in place and walk away from her with a very lax leash eventually dropping the leash and continuing backwards. Her attention is far better than when he took her. I felt like I was telling her what to do and she had circus music playing in her brain! Not anymore. Hahaha. WE SENT OUR 16 WEEK OLD LABRADOODLE, (BUDDY) FOR THE 6-WEEK TRAINING. WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK CHRIS AND BRIAN FOR THE WONDERFUL JOB THEY DID WORKING WITH BUDDY TO CORRECT HIS BAD HABITS. THE RESULTS WERE WONDERFUL, WE HAVE A VERY CALM PUPPY THAT LISTENS TO ALL OF MY COMMANDS AND IS VERY DISCIPLINED. I WOULD CALL EVERY WEEK TO CHECK ON BUDDY AND BRIAN WAS SO KIND AND CARING! WOULD RECOMMEND MIDWEST DOG TRAINING TO ANY DOG OWNERS. THANKS AGAIN TO CHRIS AND BRIAN!!
I put my pup Lola through the three week program and she came back super as promised. Chris was great in communication, pickup, and the return lesson to teach me how to better Lola in time to come. Would recommend program to anyone struggling with puppy hood.
Amazing! I would like to thank Chris and Brian. First off I live in Indianapolis and Brian was able to meet me in Waterloo to pick up my Malamute Shadow for 6 weeks of training. After having him back for a day I can tell a huge difference. His temperament is so calm and relaxed. This dog would pull my GF and kids blocks down the road without a care in the world.
