Took my car in twice while under warranty because it was losing oil. The service manager says Minis just do that. As soon as I took it in AFTER THE WARRANTY RAN OUT, they find the $1000 issue. DO NOT BUY A MINI HERE. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR CONCERNS WHILE IT IS UNDER WARRANTY. Not to mention that they sold me a maintenance plan based on the fact that they replace my clutch around 60K miles. once I needed it, I had to fight tooth and nail to get them to cover it. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!
Last week I went in to purchase a particular MINI Cooper S. It was older but I wanted to purchase it with cash in hand. Steve (I think that was his name, he didn’t give it to me) advised me that even if he had the particular year model I was looking for he wouldn’t sell it to me. He offered no solution and stated “they had too many problems for those years”. I’m willing to bet he didn’t say that when his customers bought them new. Horrible salesmanship and I ended up purchasing one yesterday somewhere else.

I bought a 2011 Mini with 26,000 miles on it. The salesman showed me an inspection on the car stating the tires were almost new. I noticed some road rash on one of the rims and pointed it out to him. He said he was aware of the problem. A few weeks after purchasing the car, both front tires needed to be replaced. One tore at the bead and the one on the rim with road rash had a large gash. No one came out and spoke to me. I finally just left.
I wasn't sure how to take this today but an employee on the service drive told me today that they weren't going to be able to wash my MINI cause it took up to much time to do so by hand... I was like well I have always had it washed and always waited on other Sewell models to be washed because they aren't able to take their cars to those dealers for their washes. I have spent enough money their to ask for hand wash when my MINI won't fit thru wash drive... Just complete turn off maybe I'll take my MINI to Sewell BMW or Cadil... read more
