Does not care for patients, exhibits elder abuse, does not follow up on requests, neglects medication distribution, accepts more patients although they are short staffed so the patients have to deal with their own mistakes, the food is absolutely disgusting and inedible, very disorganized and unequipped for the job, the rules and regulations are often not held accountable and those that are are not beneficial to the patients. We recently had the most horrendous experience with Moraga Post Acute. They were touted on yelp and Medicare as being 5 star, but they were just phenomenally incompetent. My mother was there for five days for rehab following a fall. Five days later, she had to go to ER with a life-threatening urinary tract infection and an impacted bowel. She had not been bathed or had access to a toothbrush the entire time. WE had mistakenly assumed that they were taking care of basic hygiene. There is nice frunsture and fixtures here. Unfortunately that's not helping the smell of urine in the air. I can to bring my grandmother farmers market butter cookies today. My grandma is in the last room with a woman who has been moaning and yelling the whole time. I had to go get help for the yelling woman on 2 occasions during my visit. I feel sorry for this old lady moaning and even more I feel sorry for my grandma who has to room next tho her moany-groaning butt. This location is now known as "Grace Healthcare of Pleasant Hill" (http://www.gracehealthcarepleasanthill.com/). My father spent the last week of his life there under care from both the nurses on staff and Hospice of the East Bay. The staff was kind, caring, and competent. The facility itself is small and rather intimate; the rooms are not very updated. It is apparent that the staff cares greatly about their patients.
