I went there today to celebrate my birthday with several friends. The place is pretty, the servers were very polite and efficient, unfortunately, the food was not that great and I may add, overpriced. I had the scrambled eggs, (very salty), grits and one biscuit. To my surprise, it was a sweet biscuit and very hard to cut. For sure NOT a traditional southern biscuit. In the end, I paid $25 total for this not so good breakfast. The ambience was good and thank God for the companion of friends to save the day!
Drove from Buckhead to visit one of our favorite brunch spots. But it was VERY disappointing. More disappointing than the food was the management. Ordered corned beef hash with eggs scrambled soft with chesse. Eggs came scrambled hard with no cheese waiter ordered more took about 5 mins. Corned beef was all fat with little meat so waiter ordered more corned beef, took 15 mins and when waiter came back he apologized that this batch had just as much fat with very little meat. Food was cold by the time it arrived. Asked for man... read more
This is my first time ever writing a review but this felt warranted. Short summary: I don't recommend going here. If you want tea, go to ginger room in Alpharetta. Long summary: We had a reservation for 10:30am that we made a week in advance. They called and said they wouldn't have the pastries ready by our reservation and changed it to 12:45pm. (Insane) When we got there, it ended up taking an additional 30 minutes to even get sat. They had a decent selection of tea but were out of every tea we were interested in. We als... read more
The food was good but the service was poor. There were 4 people and we all got our food at different times in a 25 minute time frame. Our waitress was pleasant and helpful, but the way our food came out was not good.
At the last minute my girlfriends and I decided to try Morningsbirds instead of our normal brunch spot. What a mistake! The reviews and pretty decor give the impression that Morningbirds is going to be an incredible brunch experience. We placed an order for a cinnamon roll which takes 30 minutes per the menu and a carafe of mimosas. 20 minutes later the waiter tells us that they are out of Prosecco and tequila (what?!?), so we place a different drink order. 20 minutes later our food starts to come out sporadically. And it's... read more
Business response:
Hi Maggie, we apologize for your experience. Due to the snow storm on Friday we were closed and the alcohol deliveries which we get on Fridays were postponed to Monday. There are liquor laws that prohibit restaurants from buying outside of their distributors, so we couldn’t go purchase it and bring it to the store. The waitstaff and management should have explained the situation in more detail and I believe you would’ve understood. Additionally, the manager did discount the bill and put your free appetizers in our internal O... read more
what a huge disappointment this place was. Upon walking in we were so excited to be there for a fun planned girls brunch that soon turned into a mess of no drinks.. horrible service.. cold food and an overpriced menu. The restaurant is so pretty, but what a shame they don't have it together. We waited 30 minutes for our carafe of mimosas to then have the waiter come and tell us they ran out of champagne.. we placed a new cocktail order which resulted in wrong drinks delivered and again out of stock of another mixer. the f... read more
We get there at 3 they made us wait in the front for 10 mins till someone acknowledged us just for them to turn us away bc they are packed. We drove an hour. So then we were like alright and we made an online order for the next hour and a half (they close at 4.) they keep coming to us saying our food almost ready. It's now 4:40. Most costumers are gone and we still waiting. I understand the full house but damn don't tell us for over an hour our food ready when it's not. We literally could have gone somewhere else. Now they j... read more
Ambiance is great. The decor is so cute! Service was fine. The food? It would be good, if temps were better. Eggs and grits were lukewarm. I can't even call the pancake lukewarm. The butter would not melt at all. Very disappointing, considering the price point.
Went today for the first time and very unimpressed. They hardly had any customers, but the food took forever. Also the price of the food is outrageous. It cost me $32 for eggs, bacon, oatmeal, potatoes and a cinnamon roll which did not even taste good.
