Get directionsI gave them one star only because there is no way to give them less. I ordered 4 arborvitae green emerald trees at $73.95 a piece and the tallest of the 4 was only 17 inches tall. I waited 12 days for my order and I could have purchased taller ones at Home Depot for $20.00 a piece. I expected them to be 4 to 5 feet trees according to their description, which is no longer available on their website and they aren't taking phone calls! I can't use these trees!
Disappointed. About 45 minute wait to get "Customer Service'. Told then 2 out of 4 plants died soon after planting. Told me to e-mail photos and explanation of how I cared for them. They will show information to Horticulturist. No one answered my previous e-mail. Will review and possibly give me "up to half"the cost of the plant" and apparently I should "be glad they are providing me with the insurance at no charge" Really.
With high prices, I expected good sized trees but instead got trees very small for their containers and very small for their high prices. Ther is also ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE - a wait time of hours (30 calls ahead of you) when you attempt to get service. On "Daves garden" they have 195 negative reviews about the size & quality of plants but esepcially hidden fees and "rules" for returns & refunds. - how did they get so many good ones here?
I was hesitant ordering plants online but after reviewing the comments and reviews I went ahead and ordered 4 hemlocks. I also have a lot of experience and education with landscaping, proper planting techniques and nursery plants. I ordered the trees in the fall and after the order was placed I was informed they would not ship till spring. Ok not a huge deal and I was ok with that. After almost 5 months the only info I received was the tracking info. Again not a huge deal but we were not going to be home when they arrived, ... read more
If you are looking for fantastic looking plants that actually survive and a warranty online that is real, don't waste your money. Out of $350 worth of bare root trees and shrubs for my lavender farm, plus an additional $38 for a warranty, only one of the smaller plants made it through the winter after surviving the Texas summer. No recourse, of course, as the warranty expired in December.
I am so disappointed in this company and their customer service. I received my plants in poor condition, which happens for a myriad of reasons. I can understand this. But, when I called I was told to take pictures and email them. When I asked how long would this take to solve this because I have these plants in pots—I was not given any time line. I was also told I could be charge a restocking fee —40%! The call was not helpful or reassuring in any way. I did what was requested. I have not even received an email of acknow... read more
DON'T ORDER. Website was down, but my card said it was charged. When I called to make sure it was cancelled they told me they didn't get the order and they wouldn't charge me. Ordered locally instead. A week later, I get an email saying my order was shipping. It took two weeks for only part of my order to ship. The tree was a single branch in soil and bug ridden. The second tree was not included. After calling and emailing they told me the next tree would be delivered. A week later still awaiting an email saying it will be d... read more
Poor quality materials, non-existent return policy because they know most of their products would be returned, disingenuous representation of trees - $70 for a sapling that would cost less than $5 at my local nursery
What a waste of money my purchase was. The quantity 4 Emerald Green Arborvitae I received are barely 1 foot tall and cost $45 each. I could have purchased the exact same plant at my local Lowes for $49 that are over 5 foot tall, and that is exactly what I will do later today. No wonder this company sells plants based on container size. If they listed plants by actual size they would likely sell very little. Never again.
