Get directionsI ordered 2 Sassafras trees this spring along with all root and plant products recommended by Nature Hills. When the trees arrived from Florida the tops were broken out and I thought how glad I was that I had bought 5-6 foot trees! The trees were planted and watered every day unless it rained. I have dealt with Charlotte, who is quite nice and helpful while we were waiting for something to happen, but alias the trees have still not leafed out. The return process warranty is ridiculous and the customers assume all respo... read more
Made a purchase a month ago but never arrived. Customer service said it was too hot to ship and gave no indication of ship time. During this time frame received trees and shrubs from other nurseries with no problem or heat damage. Buyer beware, they charge when you order but no guarantee of when you will get your order. Also, there is a 10% cancellation fee even though order was not filled in a timely manner. Suggest looking elsewhere which is what I plan to do.
Terrible customer service. Terrible plants. Terrible company. I will NEVER order from them again. Ten trees I ordered last year died within weeks. Every single one. I wanted to give them another chance since I'm from Nebraska. They - again - proved to be untrustworthy. Caveat emptor.
My redbud tree was dead on arrival. I planted it, hoping it was just dormant, but two months later, no signs of life.
I purchased these four initial trees from them: 1. Kwanzan Flowering Cherry Tree 2. Flame Willow Tree 3. Little Gem Magnolia 4. White Snow Fountain Weeping Cherry 3/4 of the trees were in an acceptable condition with minimal shipping damage. However, the fourth, also being the most expensive is eventually the one that soured the entire experience. The Kwanzan Cherry was infested with over 15 snails, and over 80% of the tree had bug leaf damage that left the tree no choice but to kill them off. In my opinion and the opinion... read more
I've purchased three trees up until now. I was somewhat satisfied with the first two trees and highly approved of the packaging. My last tree (Autumn Gold Ginkgo) had a pruned base (they call this a graphed base) In other terms the base is noticeably crooked. This was to be the center piece of my front yard. Now it will be use elsewhere. Customer service was responsive but decided to send me directions on how to repair the base. Why do I have to possibly repair a tree I paid more for with Nature Hills than other sites? I'm ... read more
Go to your local nurseries !! I received 2 magnolia trees one had 3 spires 2 of them no leaves the other broken top brown leaves The other one also had 3 spires with leaves and were all black/ brown. Took photos and sent them immediately they told me that they should come back if not they will address it next spring... pitiful Embarrassed to have them in my landscape.Would not recommend or due any future business.
I would give this company zero stars if I could. They sent me FOUR DEAD TREES. I am a plant person, not some newbie who doesn't know when a dormant tree is dead or alive. I followed the "protocol" with the first set of trees, then got screwed out of more money DESPITE HAVING PURCHASED A WARRANTY to replace those. The second set came, and I was home to receive them off the shipping truck. They were DEAD UPON ARRIVAL. They had NO roots except for a few thicker, dead ones. I followed the "protocol" anyway, and planted them as ... read more
Ordered 3 months ago and still hasn't shipped. "Barry" keeps telling me its because the weather is still too cold. 75 degrees daytime and mid fifties at night. Don't accept money for something you don't have to sell.
