Bought two cherry trees from them, one did not take at all, the other one was fine. Both were well planted and well taken care of. I contacted Nature Hills as it was early on that one was not doing well. They were not willing to replace it even though this tree was clearly defective, while the other thrived. I would not do business again with them as they were not willing to come to the table on this situation. Beware! Do not order from this company. I received a dead tree and they gave me credit for the tree but not shipping. I applied the credit but had to pay shipping again and it turned out to be a very expensive plant. I will not order from them again.
Nature Hills assured me my plant would be delivered at a time when weather wouldn't damage the plant. I got it during coolertemps across the U.S. plants will die in hot weather so it may take time to receive your plant. It's not that they don't care, they do. My plant went dormant and once I follow plant care directions it came back to life. Thanks Nature Hill.
I bought 3 Gibralter Azaleas 1 and a half years ago from Nature Hills at $99 each. I did buy the additional plant guarantee as well. The Azaleas arrived so poorly packaged that they crushed into each other causing severe damage. After sending in photographic proof and waiting for 4 months, Nature Hills did replace one. And that too arrived severely damaged. They refused to initiate the guarantee that I paid additional for. The plants lost all of their leaves within 2 months and have sat dormant ever since. READ ALL THE 1-STAR REVIEWS ( I WISH I DID)- NOT RECOMMENDED! They send out dead plants and won't refund you. Horrible customer service and not willing to do the right thing for their customers. Really sad there are companies like this. I was so excited to get my trees for my new garden and unfortunately, I just received dead trees and I'm out a bunch of money.
Ordered 2 wysteria trees. 1 for my daughter and 1 for me. Mine died. I sent the 1 pic after scraping the bark. Didn’t send pic of entire plant. Won’t order from them again.
On March 31/2022 I purchase a Cherry Okame tree, I received bare root, notice that the roots very short, I planted immediately, after 2 months the tree didn’t survive, I contacted This Nature Hill nursery, they ask me to send photos, I sanded but, they ask me again to send more photos, I send more, even with so many photos, they ask me now to send a photo of the bark, I think they want me to get tired and quit complaining. Awful plants and expensive price for the size. I paid $37.00 for each plant they were so small and very poor quality. They have been planted for 3 months and are still very slow growth due to the quality of the plant. I have contacted customer service multiple time and it is a joke. They keep asking for photos. I have sent them everything that they have requested and still no replacement or refund. I purchased other at a local nursery and those plants are now 2 feet tall. While I had very good experience in the past...this last order will be my last. I spent 100$ on rose bush flowering Spring-Fall. Ended up with a very pruned rose bush - with barely any leaves here and there. This was July when it would supposedly be in full bloom! Customer service was responsive advising that 'wetter than normal Spring...slowed their growth a bit' ... however the customer should be notified before shipping if plant was not reaching usual maturity.
