I used to have brown stains on the side of the tub (we use filtered well water) and occasional cloudiness, but now it is always beautifully clear. I still put in Ph adjustment and a very little chlorine but nothing else. I used to put it what felt like tons of chemicals.
Three Stars The stick did not turn my spa blue as I expected it would. It is light green.
Works well for clean water in spa We use these in our hot springs spa. They help keep the water clean and smells good. Use with an oxidizer. This one has a stick you attach to keep it from going to deep into the filter pipe. You can visually see the silver come off the ceramic beads to know when to replace. One last about 3-4months depending on use.

It works I use nature2 because we do not use any harsh chemicals in our hot tub. This works. You have to keep up on the filters and chagr it every 3 months. Worth the effort if you can't tolerate chlorine.
