Get directionsMy experience with Dr. Patel was a blessing. He gave me his full attention, explained what was going on with me and described the options available, allowing me to determine how I wanted to proceed without pressuring me.
Dr. Patel is friendly, courteous, and professional. I give him a lot of credit for referring me to a hematologist for blood work he found suspicious. I learned I had Plasma cell leukemia and Multiple Myeloma. If it weren't for his prompt attention to my blood history, I don't know what would have become of my health. Today, I am doing much better and my nine stomach ulcers are down to one. I wouldn't go to another GI doctor unless he moved out of state. Simply the best!
Dr. Patel demonstrated a high level of knowledge and professionalism regarding his evaluation and treatment of my condition. His diagnosis and recommendation were clearly explained, and the follow up visit was helpful.
Dr. Patel was very personable. He was interested in listening to my complaints and symptoms. He spent the time to explain my diagnosis in understandable terms and explained my options for a treatment plan. He seemed very well trained from Mayo Clinic so I trusted his recommendations. I would recommend him to my friends and family.
Dr. Patel did a great job, very thorough. I didn't feel a thing, out like a light only to wake up in recovery.
Dr. Patel is excellent. My experiences with him have been very positive. When I began seeing him, I was anxious as a result of unsuccessful attempts to discover the cause of abdominal pain. Today, my condition has improved tremendously. Because of his counseling, diagnosis, and general care, I am myself again. Dr. Patel is an extremely intelligent doctor who can really make a difference. He did for me, and I strongly encourage anyone having similar problems visit him.
MAJOR BLEED AFTER PROCTOSCOPE.
I went to Dr. Patel with complaints about a possible hernia at an entry spot from a previous laparoscopy. He had an intern/trainee with him and chuckled, explaining I might need a colonoscopy to check and I don’t want that (I was 22). He then suggested I see a gynecologist because it was probably something female related (it wasn’t). It was a waste of a copay and afternoon to see him as I had to have surgery from a severe hernia a year later. He does NOT take women seriously.
Dr Patel is knowledgeable. He seems to be very pleasant. However, he lacks communication skills. There is no follow up on test results and you cannot get a response when you call. I'm not sure if this is from him, or the office staff. There is a significant communication breakdown.
