DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! Our son took our dog to get a tick removed last night. Our dog was well and showing absolutely no symptoms. (Always given tick prevention). They took advantage of my son and charged him $1480 DEPOSIT and said they had to keep our dog overnight for unnecessary tests and the charge would be $1900!! And they have shaved him to the bone without our permission. And the vet wouldn’t come and see us when we picked him up. Absolutely appalling rip off!
Business response:
It is “unbelievable” Matt Garvan, as it’s a lie. George was brought to our hospital on a Sunday night during our emergency hours by Tom. We had a dog with a broken leg arrive at the same time. The vet who saw George removed the tick and informed Tom that George had no symptoms of tick paralysis. Tom was informed that George may be fine or he may develop symptoms of tick envenomation. That’s a fact and it would have been negligent for the veterinarian to tell Tom otherwise. Tom was offered the options of taking George home, l... read more
This is the worst vet needs to be closed down. It’s all about the money not the love of the animal
This is the kind of vet practice that gives Vet a bad name. Do not take your animals there they will just rip you off and claim to do blood work that they have never ever done. My friend took her dog that last week unfortunately due to Covid she was not allowed to go in with her fur baby. Do not know if they even looked at the dog as they were not present at the time. They said they will do bloods but the in-house blood machine was not working so they will send the bloods away. Almost a week later and still no blood result... read more
Took our dog 2 weeks ago afterhours as she jumped through a window for them to tell us “ we will check her foot and come straight back out before we do anything” an hour later, we entered the building and questioned where was she and they said theyll go find out and come straight back ANOTHER 20 minutes later we go back in for them to threaten to call the cops on us and refused to get out dog. When the vet finally come out she told us it would be upwards of $1600 as the dog had “cut an artery” which was false as it had sto... read more
Very disappointed every single time i’ve visited this ‘vet hospital’. Saw one vet who returned my “perfectly healthy” dog, took her for a second opinion else where, only to be told she had an incurable tumour between her nasal cavity & brain which the owner said should have been picked up when they did the x-rays. Saw a different vet for my cat whose nose was bleeding. Was told it “could be dirt” but returned back within 15 minutes of being home as bright red blood came out. Once again, took her for a second opinion only be... read more
they never found out what is wrong with our dog. dog is still sick they don't care about your dog . look after our dog spending 2 days there we pulled him out and after spending over 2 thousand dollars . home he came . all they care about is your money so if your pet is sick take him or her somewhere else. we had to take him somewhere else. they are really bad.
You people are the worst excuse for animal lovers. That many dogs get misdiagnosed by you. I’ve had 2 friends on separate occasions have their dogs wrongly treated by you. And what vet gets someone to sign paper to say if they want their dog resuscitated if it comes to it, with a cost of $500. I’m surprised this practice is still running.
I have previously had nothing but good experiences with Nepean animal hospital. But last Sunday taking my cat to see a vet after he had been in a dog fight and was eating I wasn’t told he had face cancer and it was most likely going to eat away at his face. After gut wrenching news to be told there isn’t much we can do for him but X-ray and run a biopsy. I went and got a second opinion within a day we had got told he had a dislocated jaw, he went under and is now eating normally. I am highly disappointed as pets are family a... read more
